About me: The Stray Dog Cafe is located on Wealthy Street, between the Wealthy Theatre, and The Meanwhile. We are a cozy little coffee/tea shop that also happens to be a news stand. Now, instead of hitting all 10 NYT newspaper boxes in Grand Rapids before finding your Sunday paper, you need only to drop in at The Stray Dog and pick up your paper, and a coffee too, if you'd like. Or, you could stay, have a seat in the sunshine and enjoy your Sunday afternoon with us. We'll even try to bring refills to your table. Imagine that. Or, you could bring a friend or two and order an actual teapot full of tea. There might even be the occasional accordian playing Parisian tunes in the background. Inhale the atmosphere, the music, our bagels, but never worry about inhaling even the tiniest bit of second hand smoke. The Stray Dog is also committed to supporting local businesses, so all of our coffees and teas are from local distributors (Schuil coffee, for those of you that already know it's amazing). We also only offer fairly traded coffees and teas, most of which are organic. You could even double check and google it using our free internet while you are here. We hope you join us.

i'm doing homework at the bitter end this very minute. it's crowded and full of college freshman. i had to listen to some girl offer this guy kissing lessons while she simultaneously tried to convince him she wouldn't enjoy it. long story short, i can't wait until you open.
