It's all me. I do everything whether it's performing, songwriting, recording, and even the business side! Whew! That's a lot of work. :)
Influences
To name a few: Prince, The Rippingtons, Danny Elfman, Hiroshima, Yoko Kanno, Gerald Albright, Hybrid, Stanley Clarke, Earth, Wind and Fire, Sting, Utada Hikaru, Aaliyah, Mary Jane Girls, Cameo, Akino Arai, Boney James (Pretty much ANY sax player!!!), Keiko Matsui, Linkin Park, and Suzanne Ciani, Claude Debussy and many, many others!
My music is a cross between Prince, The Rippingtons and old school R&B such as Blue Magic, Earth wind and fire, Cameo, Ready for the World, and Mary Jane Girls. All I can say is right after you hear it, you'll be humming it! Listen for yourself.
Hey all! I'm Sparkle...... Yep, that's me! :)
I'm a multi-instrumentalist but my main instruments are saxophone and piano. I love writing music! ANY kind of music! It's a hobby of mine that I do for fun. I use to do it with the intention of going pro but the true meaning of music was lost. So, I'm not trying to go "Superstar." If somewhere on my journey of life music takes me in a positive direction, great! But right now, I do it for the love of music! Music is an expression of the heart. I try to express emotions in my music and hopefully to inspire others. Music helped me in my life so I wanted to share it. I also want you to feel good when you hear it. I do post my music available for download for a small fee to help me support my hobby. If you like what you hear, feel free to let me know! Enjoy the page! :D
Please grab my "Rock the Space" widget and embed it to your profile! I just recently entered a contest to win a record deal with Myspace Records and I'd really love your support! Tell your friends to add me as well. :)
I knew Michael Jackson and worked with Jermaine Jackson when I came to Los Angeles after leaving K.C. and the Sunshine Band. Michael Jackson was a gift from God that we were gratefully allowed to share our lives and hearts with through his wonderful music which will always live on...A shy man seeking peace in the midst of all of the storms that swirled around him in his life...It is my prayer that he is truely peaceful now. I intend to make great music in his honor and I hope all of our comtemporaries will do the same... In Jesus love, Oliver C. Brown
