The Stugottz is a fresh incarnation of non-stop rocking featuring two founding members of the now-defunct Baltimore blues-rock-jazz-jamming funk brothers STEWBONE, and two sharply shined new friends to play with.
Previously seen around the Baltimore
circuit [as STEWBONE] before audiences at: Power Plant (Plaza), Timber Creek Tavern, Frazier’s, Red House Tavern, and Leadbetters, Scott & Stu are back, picking and plucking with a brand new crew and a silly delicious
sound.
Drawing from experience in gospel, rock, soul, and jazz, Al Wheeler knocks The Stugottz even deeper purple with his solid inner clock and intensely saucy backbeat.
Fortunate enough to be exposed to and influenced by progressive rock and an affinity for the "weird, unusual, unfamiliar, and bizarre," early on, Zachary Paul Mattix brings a harmoniously unique and pleasurable rhythym to The Stugottz.
The Debut Performance at the 8 x 10 Club in Federal Hill tickled the hipbones of over 150 people with The Stugottz’seriously sound rhythms and funky, get down grooves . Until next time, please enjoy a few STUGOTTZ originals, LIVE! at the 8x10 Club in Baltimore, right here on MySpace.
