The Stummies were formed in the fall of 1999. They were made up of several different members from the bands, The Riddlin Kids, Rex Banner, Rubberhed, Missing Digits, Born To Lose and many many more. The band has had many many different members and their set bands consist of little as 6 members to as many as over a dozen at one time. Their first show ever was at a party at the 915 Duncan House on the weekend of Halloween of 1999. The first club date was November 24th, 1999, the day before Thanksgiving, when the shared the stage @ The Back Room with Austin heavyweights JFK 666 and Forklift. There schedule of shows has slowed down a bit since several members have moved across the United States but still find time to play almost every new year in Austin. They have rocked the stages on New Years at such places as The Back Room, Redrum and most recently The Red Eyed Fly. If you get a chance, and you see they're coming to town, they are a show you definetly do not want to miss.
