The Styletones are a RAW SOUL band based out of San Diego Calif. Inspired by the emotionally charged rhythm and blues culture and a local punk rock legends Ipod, the Styletones play an uncompromising variety of soul music meticulously designed to promote sweat and the losing of ones self. Similar to a revival meeting or shamanistic celebration, the styletones offer guidance through your trip from the ordinary world to the sublime oneness of the groove, where the bass drum is the universal heartbeat.
In the first few months of Styletone performances they garnered a San Diego Music Award nomination in the best new band category and a prestigious residency at Bar Pink. With appearances at the world famous casbah and support from 94.9, 91x , x1fm and the adams ave st. fair, the Styletones serious dedication to the tenets of soul culture has inspired a following of beautiful freedom minded dancers making each show a familial feeling ritual.
