The Submarines formed early in the year 2001. Three drummers later, and a four song demo reocrded by Jim Diamond they are ready to be added to the list of musicians hailing from the Ypsilanti area. The Submarines consist of Breakheart on Guitar and Vocals, Joe Lindsey on Bass and Vocals, and Ben Luckett on Drums.

On May 19, Kevin and Jess Dandino were in a car accident. Kevin is a long standing member of the Toledo music scene, both in his previous punk bands DeKay and One Minute Mile, as a founding member of Fortune Favors..., and currently playing bass for Kasper the Fake. Kevin's friends and family in Fortune Favors, Anicca, bloodumpster, Highland, Highbinder and Uncertain Five are reaching out to their fans in support of their friends. The show will also feature a one time reunion of Toledo punk/ska veterans Signal-to-Noise.
Anicca: Screamo tinged alt-rock. Highland: Classically schooled power-pop. signal-to-noise: furious punk -ska from the elder years. Fortune Favors...: Progressive hardcore. bloodumpster: seminal joke-core revitalists. Highbinder: stoner rock. Uncertain Five: bloody post-hardcore.
