The Sugarplastic have WON "Best Pop/Rock Band" as chosen by the LA Weekly for 2005.
Starting on the periphery of the dream pop scene in early 90s Los Angeles, The Sugarplastic had their first breakthrough during a signing binge at DGC (Geffen) Records. Bang, The Earth is Round was released to critical praise in 1996 and despite constant fluctuations in the music business, The Sugarplastic maintain a solid and rabid fan base to this day, and continue to play out and record.
In 2001, William Cooper Glenn passed away. A founding member of Rain Parade as well as a key player in Mazzy Star and Opal, his passing deeply affected the music community in Los Angeles. This album Will is inspired by his inventive arranging and producing techniques, as well as his outlook on the world.
The Sugarplastic have been waiting for you. They never went away, they were just hiding in a corner of your psyche, waiting to make a grand
re-entrance. Will is their first full length since Resin in 2000.

holy crappe i like "the sun goes cold" (and all the other stuff too of course). is that 14 bass 8th notes and then a change? makes me twitch like i was 19.
Love Soft Jingo. I wish Bang! were more available than it is. I imagine a record company is to blame. Can't they just toss it on iTunes and scrape up money they're leaving on the table?
You are the Demigods of Pop to me. Too bad not too many people from the U.S. are aware of your sensationally exhilarating output. I absolutely love your music!
