tsp aka the suicidal penguins lasted from 1998 to 2003 and consisted of brett minster, kyle sawer and ryan gardner and was aided by the worlds number one rodey- tyler schultz. this was our escape from high school and the tedious monotony of our juvenile lives. we hated everyone who loved themselves more than those around them and who surrounded themselves with others of their type. this band was more than music, it was a friendship and a love of music. a love of those surf skate punk rock bands and the music that we idolized and cared so much about, more than the hate full society around us. when we wernt playing music we were at concerts, surfing, skateboarding and loitering around our county. we never really broke up, we just fell into the cracks of our society and were consumed by our own endeavors. we are all still best friends, even though we may not see each other every day or week.. or year for that matter, but our memories and our friendships will follow us to our graves.

the scabs lasted from 2003 to 2005 and consisted of danny finnly, chris kenion, brett minster and ryan gardner. by this time brett and i(ry) were pissed and angry at the world. we no longer cared about others. all we cared about is the social monkeys on our backs. we joined danny finley and brought on chris kenyoun. we had are militia. here we played fast and we played angry songs... we sang of political injustices and societies suffering. here we analyzed our world and attempted to pinpoint every direction that we were getting fucked by our country. here we realized that the only reason that every day people were fucking other every day people is because our government is fucking everyone all at once... we were not a political band, no...we did not give a shit about politics, we just cared about telling people how we felt and what we were feeling and in search of others who felt the same. the scabs broke up right after recording in 2006 and have not re grouped since. we opened for bands such as the misfits, di, the damned, the dickies, the dropkick murphys, fear, and a bunch of other local bands and artists. there are many other songs, but myspace will only allow six. i still feel strongly about this music and i still want people to hear it, this is why my page is only now surfacing.
