From 2005 to July 2008 the suit was a lone artist creating eclectic tunes to de-stress from the corporate world. Corporate Badass by Day, Creative Trickster at night, many years passed with underground acclaim and respect and he thought he was happy with this..
Until..
It..
All..
Changed…..
In July 2008 The Suit got invited to enter a competition at alterhit.com, a competition with the prize a slot at the big chill festival.
So should he enter? How could he perform? Well one guy on a laptop isn’t much fun to watch, is it now!
With 3 weeks to go before the big chill the suit started working the phones. Contacting musicians with skills who could come together at short notice and perform at a major UK festival.
Two weeks before the chill the line-up was set, now it probably would have been easy to put a small band together, got it tight and ready to go. But that would have been too easy. Lol. An 8 piece band was formed and with 10 days to go started practicing everyday. Not once was the full line-up in any one practice at any one time.
We didn’t even know when the competition would close, but carried on practicing with the belief that we would win it.
The First time the Suit Band in its full line-up played together was on stage in the Dance Tent at the big chill festival, and yes we won the competition.
And it went off!!!!
The full line up has now grown to a 9 piece

I was actually moved by how good you were, I felt drained when I walked out the dance tent afterwards, its been a very long time since a performance has made me feel like that!
