Summa Riot Formed in 2000 by Multi-Instrumentalist Ben Rayner and started life as a heavily guitar based industrial act, influenced by such artists as MINISTRY, NINE INCH NAILS and (early) MARILYN MANSON. The SUMMA RIOT sound evolved, Into The Electro-Industrial sound that it is today,after Ben discovered 'The Synthesizer'. In the summa riot sound you can here subtle influences from APHEX TWIN, DEPECHE MODE, COVENANT, NINE INCH NAILS and TOOL. Mixing catchy synth hooks and riffs, with harsh electro soundscapes and beats,with strong,emotive vocals.
