Sunnyboy (Wilson Padmos) brings his soulful, funky touch on the fender rhodes to a sound that is informed as much by Herbie Hancock as it is by Jazzanova. The Sunnyboy Trio is a true hybrid collective, with funky fender bass (Mark Campbell) rubbing up against sampled sound and abstract electronic textures, while driving acoustic drums and cymbals (Ryan Davis) meld with electronic rhythms. This is for fans of Medeski Martin and Wood, Bugge Wesseltoft, Mark De-Clive Lowe and The Philadelphia Experiment.
