In 1997, three young men came together with a common goal: create the worst techno band in the world. They succeeded.
Ralph, Ben, and Shannon put their talents together utilizing state of the art equipment (like an old 4 track, a Yak-Bak, a telephone, a Casio keyboard, and sound bites from a VCR recording) to form: The Supacollida.
They created a few songs but only 1 song remains intact from their glory days: The Man. It is an interesting piece with a central theme that explores the duality of man and the irony of politics. Actually, its just a crappy song.
Lucky for them, and unlucky for the rest of the world, Shannon's good friend Mikey happened to be a DJ at a local college radio station - KGRG. He gave them the opportunity to play their songs (over and over) on air and even interviewed them. They told the listening audience that they were popular in Germany but had not quite taken off in the United States yet. They took calls and asked the poor callers what they thought of the music. Most callers were very polite and said that they were ok. One caller told them that he saw them live and that they were great. He was their biggest (only) fan.
We have added a 5th song to our Myspace page from our newly arrived CD.
Stop on by and check it out- let us now what you think.
Or better yet - If ya happen to be in the area, come on out to one these shows and say hi.
