   About The Supply Teachers
COME ON EMBRACE.... U JUST DON'T GEDDIT!! A Brief History so far.... Swindon Musician, and member of local band The Teachers, Chris Miles, decided in early 2006 that he was going to try his hand at an England World Cup anthem. He drafted in help from fellow band member Nick Midwinter, and formed a spin off group..The Supply Teachers (obviously!). The duo quickly got to work on the song with time being very much of the essence. Chris penned the lyrics (over the series of a few sleepless weeks) and the pair then teamed up in Nicks dining room to record the music onto a rough demo. On the weekend of 25th March, armed with a crate of Hungarian lager and a few keen volunteers (not to mention shameless wannabes) the guys went into Stable Studios to record the final version with Engineer and Producer Nick Beere. The boys were really happy with the outcome. Chris said, The idea had always been in my head and it was just mental to hear it come to life .. With the help of a few friends! The lyrics take a historic look at the well-documented England failures of the recent past and turn them on their head Chris added, The song is very deliberate in its approach and its style I wanted to write a song that every England fan can relate to. The tearsThe heartache..The frustration. But more importantly the renewed enthusiasm and optimism that comes around every 4 years, and this time we really do have a great chance.COME ON ENGLAND!!. Nick explains the formula that they believe is crucial for a song of this kind: You cant take your self too seriously. Were not trying to write the best song in the world. We just tried to keep it simple and create something that will make people smile.and that they can hopefully get into. The Band hope their song can be the catalyst for England glory in Germany. Its about time! **Stop Press** Be the first to watch the video (it's about time) on myspace as we see the boys in action, Also details on where you can purchase the CD.......
