Suddenly Nothing Happened!
Its 1996 and Sean has just returned from Austin, Texas with a fistful of new songs. The Brides bang those songs out in a west london studio with Jez, Jimmy and Drew turning them inside out while Mick Anthony captures everything on a couple of DAT machines.
Over 10 years later, the missing tapes from that session "fall out of a shoebox"
The sessions where never intended for release but , as Jez said, "it does sound alot like us"
The Surfing Brides are still ignoring advice to 'quit while you're behind.'
They laugh at each other's record collections and clothes. They swap their girlfriends because 'it worked for Fleetwood Mac'.
They always stop talking when their van goes through a tunnel or under a bridge. The singer's got the worse voice in the band but because no one else fancies the job. ....The bassist is the best guitarist in the band, the drummer is the funniest and the guitarist is the nicest and cleverest. Somehow it usually all turns out great!
