Dear Friends of SURGE,
Work continues on our upcoming CD release “Begin To Burn”. We have all of our recording equipment and are setting it up. Recording to “begin” this week. Currently we are playing 7 of the cuts in our live shows. These have been well received and are even generating requests, which absolutely thrills us to no end! The anthem-ish “Livin’ It Up” and “What Burns Within” seem to be the hottest with fans right now. We have made much progress on the 12 tracks. We have found that the live performances of these songs bring on new ideas about how they can be played. We just can’t rush it. The band is proud of this album and we feel that we owe it to ourselves and to you to provide the best possible product that our abilities will allow. The recordings on our websites were made on a 4 track Fostex MR8HD with a drum machine and Eric doing all the guitars and bass. We now have a Tascam 2488neo which gives us 24 tracks. It is truly exciting for us to be creating again. There’s no telling how long this process will take but we assume a release in summer of 2009. So, thank you very much for your support and your patience.

A friend at work just told me today that her husband is arranging the May 9th show here in town, I work until 9 that night...but will most likely be there since I drive by on the way home anyway... Hope we have some nice weather that night!
