I obviously have an obsession with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My other interests stem from that. I brood. I read, I write, I draw. When I can brood no more, I make a pot of tea and pretend I am still in Ireland. Then I drink it and brood. I am rather introverted, but the friends I have tend to find me witty and "mysterious," which I think is just another word for "bitchy." I love truth so I speak my mind. For that I cannot be sorry.

Movies
I have three favorites. Most people think it is silly, but when I was 13 years old Jurassic Park changed my life. I watched it every day for two years. I think everyone has a movie from their childhood like that that taught you to dream and changed your paradigm of life. American Beauty came later on and I felt like it said all I ever wanted to say about life. And Alice in Wonderland, which I watch when all hope is lost because it makes me dream and laugh and takes me away.
In addition, I worship The Nightmare before Christmas and anything and everything by Tim Burton, The Truman Show, Galaxy Quest, Signs, I, Robot, My Life as a House, The Abyss, Independence Day, the Harry Potters, the Matrix(es), LotR, Garden State, Donnie Darko, Just Friends, Empire Records, Boys and Girls, Napolean Dynamite, 80s movies, Tarantino etc etc ad naseum. My husband and I also watch BeCool and Mean Girls at least once a week: "You know who's looking fine today? Seth Mosakowski"..."You did not just say that"..."What, he's a good kisser"..."He is your cousin"..."Yeh but he's my first cousin"..."Riiight"...."So you have your cousins, then you have your first cousins, then your-- that's not right, is it?"..."That is sooo not right."

Buffy, Angel, Firefly... Smallville, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Blade the Series, Xfiles, Veronica Mars, Lost, The Office, Arrested Development, Invader Zim, The Batman. I play a lot of video games. I'm kinda a geek.
Books
Ask yourself if you really want to know the answer...My B.A. is in English and Irish literature, some time of which I spent in Ireland. To name a few: LotR, Harry Potters, Terry Goodkind's never-ending The Sword of Truth series...anything fantasy basically, but NOT NOT NOT sci-fi, excluding Isaac Asimov and some of Orson Scott Card, who goes both ways. Also anything in the horror realm (Stephen King) and adolescent horror realm (Christopher Pike, L.J.Smith). I am working on my own teenage novel as we speak. The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and other stories, by Tim Burton. Edgar Allen Poe, who I feel I must be related to. Shakespeare. Harold Pinter the greatest British playwright. James Joyce, who invented stream-of-conciousness writing and put Ireland on the map. Also D.H. Lawrence. Tori Amos, the lyricist to most greatly influence my poetry. Comic books, cookbooks, Christian books- fiction and non-fiction (like the Bible ;), children's books (David Shannon especially) and pop-up books.........and last but not least: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which is "almost but not quite entirely unlike tea."

Yes I did. I'm running a before/after school program for elementary students. We do lessons with them and projects as well as make sure they get their homework done. It's fun so far.

The Academy Is... (TAI). I am obsessed with them right now. If you havent listened to them you must. Start with "About A Girl", "Everything We Had", "Neighbors" and "Rumored Nights" and go from there. They have three album out.
