Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.

We are a four piece punk/screamo/alternative band from newbury, west berkshire, we formed in March this year and have already made a mark in the local music scene, we've played with some of the best unsigned talent such as Pink Widow, Hollow, Terrorart, Killbaby, sintuition, Jagged Lexicon and many more. We have an hour set including well known covers by The Ramones, Kings Of Leon and The Artic Monkeys. We are due to tour selected area's of the UK in Feb next year and we are releasing our first 4-5 track EP 'i should of done this sooner' sometime before christmas.

Yes, another enjoyable night at the Swan. It did seem to go down well and Rupe (from "Rupe's Guide") was very enthusiastic - so I think he'll be encouraging more music lovers along next time.
I don't know whether I should pass on that comment to Gavin - oh hell - why not!
