MusicI like a wide variety of music, I like listening to the Braveheart theme when I'm working in my studio but not when I'm knitting, my family know to stay out of my studio if they hear 'Braveheart' It means I'm in workmode.
MoviesMy favourite film of all time is... Yes! you've guessed it 'Braveheart'. I love a good animation, I adore Nick Parks work, and countless others.
TelevisionI sometimes watch TV when I'm knitting, I adore "The Blue Planet" wildlife & gardening programes. The X Factor, pure entertainment! I had to get bifocals to wear while doing both, I used to wear close up glasses and kept looking at the TV if something interesting came on, my eyes felt as though they were out on stalks.
BooksHow long do you have? I adore books can't go into a book shop and come out without a bag of books, I read them and pass them on don't like to keep them they gather too much dust. I cant put a book down until I've read it, so I have to wait until my work is finished before I start one. A few books I did keep was 'The Money Diet' by Martin Lewis he knows his stuff and can save you loads of bucks. Andrew Matthews 'Being Happy', if you ever feel low dip your nose into this book, You'll soon snap out of it. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... 'Stepping Up' by Timothy Dobbins, this is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I will definitely be keeping this book. He's one of my friends, check him out. Most of all I like producing books, I design and make them from cover to cover.
HeroesWell... in 2004 I was in a coma for 3 months and wasn't expected to live, I could hear the "Braveheart" theme playing in my head over and over. I think it gave me the strength to fight... so, Mel Gibson would have to be my hero. Then there's my darling husband, my soul mate, who does everything in his power to support me while I work, he loves cleaning, and as long as I feed him, he's happy. And liselle my marketing director she is my friend and mentor and is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known, I'm honoured to have her in my life. And my children, they are the light of my life. Mhairi my editor and faithful friend of 25 Yrs.

About me:
This Susan Docherty the creator of SWEATERHEADS myspace pages. I'm very happily married to Ian, my soul mate, we have four grown up kids. I write, illustrate and publish children's books. The props and sets are all knitted, even the clouds/ then photographed, and the skies etc added in photoshop. For more details check out our website................... www.sweaterheads.com I have a wild & whacky sense of humour, I used to be shy about showing people my work in case they laughed, now I get worried if they don't. I spend long periods at the computer and often work into the wee hours, sometimes when I need a wee break from my work I have a wee look around myspace. I've only just joined and I've got my eye on some interesting folk I'd like to have as friends, but be warned you might end up on my Knit list. He He. Just for a giggle I knitted my whole team, I was greatly amused when asked to 'enhance' some of their appearances. liselle my marketing director asked me to make her boobs bigger, which I duly obliged, when she saw her wee knitted self she said 'I wish I had a figure like that", I told her to close her eyes and hold out her hands, I promptly placed a ball of wool in each hand. www.sweaterheads.com

Who I'd like to meet:
Lots of nice happy people, and people that want to be happy. I can always find something to be happy about. I love the idea of myspace 'shopping for friends ', it's a brilliant idea. I've found so many interesting folk here, that have made me laugh and inspired me, There's a few of you already on my 'KNIT LIST'. I'm amazed at the assortment of talented/writers poets and musicians to be found here. Check out Clear blue Skies, they are well braw. Looney Lyn has some great ideas on freecycling.

BEHIND THE SCENES As you can see we have a lot of fun while we are working on the books. Chris our photographer is taking the pictures for one of the images for my next book 'Naebeard' due for release in 2007. Elaine (Design) and Liselle our (Marketing Director), model for me. As you can see they get their own back on me at the end of the shoot. Well... I suppose I deserved it. You can view the pictures in my pic's.
