Swampy, ragged and sparse, The Swindlers ‘Self Titled EP’ is a window into a desolate world populated by primitive hunters, masochistic hostages and seductive sirens. As it teeters between violence and sublime melody, The Swindlers’ unique ‘Train Yard Stomp Rock’ projects a distinctly Australian voice. Recorded over a weekend with Paul Maybury (formerly of Rocket Science), this debut offering from The Swindlers has all the energy and immediacy of a live show.
'Here's some totally Australian, swaggering, rock-n-blues for your winter worries... it just gets bigger and better the more it turns.' Samson, Catalyst Magazine
'The Swindlers are at their finest when they let everything get a little unhinged (Oh No)'
Clem Bastow - Inpress
'The Swindlers have a throwback sound, urgent and a bit raw, you can feel the passion.'
Neil Wedd - Indie Initiative

THE RUBYS FIRST BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA - 3 MORE SLEEPS
One year ago, on a lonely Wednesday evening at a forgettable Collingwood pub, The Rubys played their first gig. Twelve months on, the three scrappy-looking lads have under their belts better songs, more gigs and are infecting Melbourne audiences with catchy, raw, stomp rock n roll pretty much weekly. So to mark the milestone of reaching the ripe old age of one, The Rubys are celebrating with a birthday party! With around 40 gigs down over the previous year and a wildly raucous live set, there has been a lot of jumping around and beer consumed so this Friday at the Old Bar will be no exception. Expect some wild blues-driven sets by The Volatiles and The Bellows to warm things up, and the boy’s favourite two-piece The Cheats bringing it all home. 8:30 start, $8, Party hats provided.
Hope to see you down there and we can all rock out!!
Everything fine with you? Many thanks for the friendship! I really appreciated it. I want to let you know there is a new release "Aproxx - Adore Me [DJ Solano Remix]".
I hope you come back often, because there is more to come...and don't forget spread the word!
