   About The Swing Doctors
For over a decade, The Swing Doctors have attracted an eclectic following of young swing dancers, reminiscent elders, and admiring musicians. The Doctors, in the tradition of Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie, get audiences tapping their feet with a “four to the floor” chunking swing sound. The band originated in Boston, MA with Jesse "The Professor" Gelber on piano, Eric "The Champ" Baldwin on guitar, Sean "Caveman" Mannion on Drums, Robbie "Washtub" Phillips on the one string bass, and featured Aisha Hosley on vocals. Later Aisha and Jesse formed Gelber, Hosley & Assoc. as the New York version of The Swing Doctors.

THANX 4 THE ADD.
'THE DOCTORS ARE IN' IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CD'S RIGHT NOW. DIG THE WAY THE INTRO TO 'CARAVAN' CREATES TENSION AS IT BUILDS TO A CRESCENDO.
ANYONE WHO CAN SIT STILL WHILE LISTENING TO 'MIC MAC' NEEDS TO BE CHECKED FOR A PULSE. THE SOUND QUALITY OF THE WHOLE CD IS PRISTINE, & AUTHENTIC, AS IF IT WAS RECORDED AT THE ORIGINAL DECCA RECORDING STUDIO WITH TUBE MICS. AS A STUDENT OF THE FREDDIE GREEN COMPING STYLE, I CONSIDER THIS DISC AS INDISPENSIBLE
& ESSENTIAL AS CARLTON JOHNSON'S BOOK.
TIME TO 23 SKIDOO,
ALL THE BEST
