"Well-crafted indie gems pummel you not like a punk army, but more as a brilliantly-executed sonic invasion. it's melodic, but potent and delicate with a sinister smile lurking in the background before it explodes into head-bobbing joy." - The Rift Magazine
"Private Ambulance is indie rock as familiar as these beer bottles we're sipping at the Dragon - full of tried and true, Jawbox-inspired eighth-note overtures that rock you--more like a cradle than, say, a hurricane--into a head-nodding reverie..." - The City Pages, Minneapolis
"The attention to sonic detail ultimately pays off as every crystalline guitar note, crunching riff and drum sound on Private Ambulance provides the ear with and interesting plate of sounds to digest (a headphone listening is highly recommended). Moreover, the Swiss Army provide the songs to back the aural experience up: “Another Happy Ending” provides a pummeling, vaguely Pixiesque lament on the trepidation of new relationships {“where it leads is still unseen”) and false expectations that sometimes accompany them

Thanks dude. It went stellar. I felt like an episode of vh1 story tellers ... well, if during those episodes, the lead singer of every band were drunk, and stopped in the middle of every song to tell some wierd, unrelated story ...
your music is growning on me. I figurd I'd add u guys cuz of women records(slug) and cuz I think 1 of your bandmembers(drummer?) is from my home town. But really, your music is good. I don't even like this genre, but it's def growing on me.
When do we get new Swiss Army? I've listened to the Private Ambulance L.P. a zillion times, GIVE ME MORE!!! NOW!!! P.S. Steve is hot. TEEHEE. ~Love noel.
anyone who's music is down with slug and murs is down with me...which is why I ordered private ambulance...and to be honest I had no idea what to expect...but I sure didn't expect to be hooked on this album! it's like the kind of subtle intensity that begs you to come hither before it rips you out of your chair and throws you into a journey where you can almost levitate above the music and feel the force of the emotion...not too hard...not too soft...just beautifully right...yep...that's how I would describe it :) keep up the good work boys....come play in toronto sometime soon...the kids here would go wild for u for sure...one love...
