............................................... WE STARTED OUT in RANDOLPH, MA. in the early 90's in a dingy basement with cheap guitars and cheaper beer. A garage band consisting of three high school buddies; C. Martin on guitar, Rup on bass, and Pittsy on drums/vocals. We agreed from the get go, the songs had to be straight forward or not at all. We played to anyone that would listen which was mostly drunken friends and the local vagrants. Constantly chasing the keg, we played any party, basement, or living room that would take us. IN THE LATE 90's through 2006 the band began to diversify and wonder around the Boston music scene. We started moonlighting in a bunch of local rock acts (to many to mention). During this time, Pittsy and Rup stumbled across a hard hitting, all or nothing, tomahawking, tattooed to the "tits" drummer. Enter Dave Sexton aka "savage". His hard hitting style fit right into Pittsy and Rup's developing racket. Sexton adds that element of animal power that we were searching for. At this point we were almost there, but not quite yet. There was still one crucial element missing. Re-enter, once again, longtime friend guitarist C. Martin. In 2006 after just a handful of practices we put together a half dozen songs. With Martin in the mix, the circle was complete and in 2007 THE TAKE-BACK was born. A Boston based high energy rock band. A straight forward hard charging sound with influences ranging from good ol' fashioned blues to fist clenching punk rock. We have NO gimmicks. The spirit of our songs are drenched in cold beer, American whiskey, and raw to the bone power chords. They speak about the good times, the struggles, and touch on subjects such as "the truth" and our misspent youth. Weathering the storm of bullshit trends for well over a decade, we've seen them all come and go. Friends for over twenty years and now we're back at full strength spreading the good word. Fuck ya.....Taking it back, Cheers!!!!!!!
