As these 4 young men from Sydney Australia stand back stage anticipating the the first chord of their high energy and emotion filled performance to an audience several hundred punters strong who wait in suspense knowing that as darkness falls across the stage and the lights flicker, the next 45 minutes will only last momentarily. True only to their passion for playing infectious pop music The Take are a band not to be classified or pigeonholed. They deliver an original blend of pop rock driven by keyboards and huge vocal performances that could be said are influenced by artists such as The Killers, Fall Out Boy & Panic at the Disco. The Take has developed as any good band should over the last 3 years through overcoming hurdles that would seem insermountable to others. Rather then folding when the cards weren't great they did the opposite by pushing a little harder and running a little faster in the direction of their goals. The Take jumped into the studio with Australian rock producer Greg Stace to work on their debut single "Breathe”. The song came about after the boys couldn't help but notice the amount of negativity occurring around the world being reported on the news and so wrote a song about how everybody should "relax" a bit. The Take are currently writing for their anticipated album and also preparing to kick off the 2009 Boost Mobile Rock the Schools tour in VIC coming to a school near you.
