The Tangent Twins, are writers & musicians, Steve Meadows & Keith Small.
They first started to work together way back in 1992 at, The Ministry, Liverpool.
Steve had been working at The Ministry under the guise of The Big Picture, which was an earlier band he'd set up with Mick Greenwood.
Whilst there, Steve, was introduced to Stuart Kershaw, by Andy McCluskey ( OMD ) & was invited to collaborate with Stuart on one of his projects.
Keith, who had known Stuart from their college days had also been called to lend a hand with his writing skills & played a big part in this venture.
The three of them continued to write on various projects together & also worked & performed along side, Andy McCluskey as part of OMD.
In 1996, things took a sour turn. Musical & personal issues had raised there ugly heads & the partnership between the three was no more.
Steve, went back to freelance work as a sound engineer & worked in various studios in Liverpool & North Wales.
Keith on the other hand, carried on with what he does best & performed along side several bands in the area, mainly in a group called Skokiaan & has also performed with Thomas Lang.
Over the years, both Steve & Keith have remained close friends & have even written the odd track together.
In 2006, they decided the time was right to work on an album.
It wasn’t going to be easy as both had work & family commitments that already took up most of their time.
But, with the new studio up & running & the ideas flowing, work started in the autumn of that year.
Although all previous songs had been written under the name, The Big Picture, it was decided that a name change was well over due.
And having gone through several ideas, The Tangent Twins, was eventually chosen.
It’s a long story…

’’The Sunday Express (five stars) ***** It’s clear from the title track that you are listening to something special with O’Connor’s second solo album… It’s time for KT, Sandi and Amy to make room because this should launch a new Scottish star into the charts. ’’
The Herald (four stars) **** ''O’Connor has one of the best voices heard in Scotland in some time, and a set of fine songs to show it off…''
The List (four stars) **** There is an unmistakable modern twist to her music, and she flits effortlessly between, husky poppiness on the likes of ‘Saturday Man’ to soulful stripped down and spine tingling.
