"Following after was The Tangle, originally from New Orleans, they found themselves in Austin as a result of hurricane Katrina, and have been making a name for themselves since. Their bluesy, funk roots were evident in their 45 minute live preview to their upcoming debut album. Singer Darcy Boye gives a poignant vocal with an exceptionally pure tone. Accompanied by her guitarist/husband Chris Boye, they’ve formed a funky team that’s oozing with creative promise; they even painted their own t-shirts. Can you get any cuter?" -Skope Magazine

The Tangle are originally from New Orleans LA. Due to the rising tides of Hurricane Katrina, they moved to Austin TX for three years, where they successfully put out their debut album "Diamond Doorstop" and went on their first long tour!!! However, home was always calling back to them. So......they are now back home in New Orleans, LA!!! Although some key notes were lost along the way and are dearly missed.......the Tangle has regrouped and is ready to get back into action!!!!

LEAD VOCALS/KEYBOARDS-DARCY MALONE BOYE: Being that she comes from such a musical family, Darcy was practically born with a mic in her hand; and also has dabbled in piano, guitar, and bass. She has sang with local New Orleans artists such as Theresa Anderson, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, David Torkinovsky, her mothers former group The Pfister Sisters, her Fathers group The Radiators, and her brothers group The Boondoggles. She is also a member of the group The Chilluns featuring other great NOLA kids, Johnny Malone (her brother), Andre Bohren (Johnny Sketch) and Annie Clements (Sugarland). Not to mention their dads, David Malone, Spencer Bohren, and Cranston Clements, as well! Always doing backups....she was ready to step into the front joining The Tangle with her, now, husband Chris Boye. She grew up singing blues and jazz, and loves incorporating that into an original rock sound.

GUITAR/VOCALS-CHRIS BOYE: Chris' unique guitar playing adds an interesting element to the band. He has had many other projects throughout his career, most notably the mostly instrumental band "ECHO WRECK" from his activities at Second Nature Skate Park.The "melting of styles" quality that has infected his writing is notable. He and Darcy are the prominent songwriters of the group with the band putting the "TANGLE" mark on the songs. Chris possesses talent not just on the guitar,but he also sings and compliments Darcy well. He plays a fender JAG-STANG and an EPIPHONE thru a vintage Kustom Tuck and Roll amp and speaker.

BASS-CHRIS JOHNSON: Chris is also the bass player for Mahayla, loves fixin guitars, and is a dedicated NOMEX employee.

DRUMS-MARK DAVIS: Mark Davis has played drums for many years in many bands like Flounder, Yel-o-cel, Jilted, Wetdaddy Empire, Gimp, Novak, Slackjaw Cletus, Jimmy & the Wolfpack, Big Blue Marble and is currently also playing drums in Mahayla.
