The Taste give the listener some beautiful songs with soul, made right here in Manchester.
We're based in Chorlton, just South of the City (home of Chorlton and the Wheelies for those who remember!). It's a creative place, probably because it rains a lot, and produces some special bands.
The songs come from experiences, and we've done a bit of living. There's a certain maturity with a fresh edge, and the kind of melodies that get into your head and never leave you disappointed.
Danny is the master lyricist, and has had comparisons with Matt Johnson (The The) and the mighty John Lennon. Real sentiments for real people on a bed of Matt's harmonious guitars, perfectly complemented by the unique Lively Clively on harmonica.
We enjoy inviting other musicians to add a special element to the sound, and our eternal thanks go out to the multi-talented Mark, the gorgeous Carolyn and the one and only Mike.
