Hailed as the "modern retro-romantic minstrels of the Cedar Valley", The Teddy Boys are an uber pop family band taking styles from 1960's British Invasion Garage Rock and American Indie Rock and making them uniquely their own, churning out some of the most insanely catchy pop garage music currently coming out of the midwest today. .. Forming in Cedar Falls, Iowa in the fall of 2004, around the songwriting of brothers Harper and Joel Sires with their cousin Dylan Sires. Drummer Graham Howland and bassist Devin Ferguson round out the sound. .. They are kind of like the Kinks of Iowa, if the Kinks liked to get drunk and watch the Disney channel together. .. Their first E.P. "Songs for Swingers" was self released in the fall of 2005. They released their debut L.P. "Love After Dark" in the fall of 2007 via Minneapolis/Cedar Falls label "The Tyros Label". .. They have performed all over the United States on many week to month long tours.
