Hailed as the "modern retro-romantic minstrels of the Cedar Valley", The Teddy Boys are an uber pop family band taking styles from 1960's British Invasion Garage Rock and American Indie Rock and making them uniquely their own, churning out some of the most insanely catchy pop garage music currently coming out of the midwest today.
Forming in Cedar Falls, Iowa in the fall of 2004, around the songwriting of brothers Harper and Joel Sires with their cousin Dylan Sires. Drummer Graham Howland and bassist Devin Ferguson round out the sound.
They are kind of like the Kinks of Iowa, if the Kinks liked to get drunk and watch the Disney channel together.
Their first E.P. "Songs for Swingers" was self released in the fall of 2005. They released their debut L.P. "Love After Dark" in the fall of 2007 via Minneapolis/Cedar Falls label "The Tyros Label".
They have performed all over the United States on many week to month long tours. They are currently at work on their 2nd L.P.

Holy shit, 3 Stories is great. Sophisticated, clean, and I like how it is sort of monotonous. It gives you everything you need and want right away and then lets you enjoy it. Like the song I've been trying to write my whole life.
I think we'll do the 22nd if you're still up for it. Dan was trying really hard to make this Fargo thing happen but I think playing Spicolis with you guys will be way better :D I emailed Cody to confirm but haven't heard back yet.
We're quite possibly in, though Sam's likely out because there's no way he's missing Neil Hamburger at the Mill. We've been after this place in Fargo about 8/22 for a while and they've been slow about getting back to us. Will let you know.
Ok sweetos, i might stop by ians to say hi if you guys are there. Then i could give you our grooves as well. I'm not sure who does the booking at the Yacht Club so if you do, that would be super if you could try to work something out for the end of july or early Aug. If you want, we could try to do a show before then but it would be a little touchy cause some of us are gonna be on mini vacations and such during july.
Battle of the Bands is here and still needing bands! For more info read on our "5th Annual tri-state battle of the bands" blog for details. Let us know if you want a form and we will send you one. COFEN
For sure man, we should go for the mill or the yacht club. We haven't been to either of those places in a few months and they're pretty neato. How's that sound? And yeah, since our new cd isnt in print yet i'll just stick both albums on a cd and give that to you.
Destined for stardom. Large things with small consequences are bound to approach willingly and without retreat. 3 stories might have the best drum sound and guitar work I have ever heard come out of the cedar valley. And by might I mean positively. It has been a pleasure to share the stage with you and witness a sound develop naturally, not to say without hurdles, but at least enough tension to allow unexpected and pleasantly received growth. You make me happy Teddy Boys. Be seeing ya, Adam Bolts
hey duders the new demo sounds amazing. i can't wait to get my hands on the new album. you guys should be the biggest band in the world. shame on the rest of the world for not thinking so.
