The Temple was formed in 1994 in Brussels by Olivier, Manu & Phil.
They were already familiar with the Belgian rock scene for having played in many clubs and bars under the name Merry-Go-Round for about three years.
M.G.R.s musicians had different views about what to expect from music, so Oli, Manu and Phil went their own way to perform a steadier and heavier music, replacing the keyboards by a second guitar.
It also meant playing, composing and sharing the music they profoundly love, in a true rocknroll spirit and friendship.
The music is ROCK, inspired by the classic bands from the 70s, but doesnt belong to a specific category, allowing large artistic opportunities.
The Temple records and produces its own cds (see discography), and enjoys performing live with sonic intensity and energy.
So far The Temple has released five albums featuring mainly original compositions and some covers. The latest album AFTER TEA TIME (april 2009)is the first cd recorded as a trio. It is a very eclectic album, very different in moods, instrumentation and choice of songs.
Last week, AFTER TEA TIME reached number 5 in the "top selling albums" of 12:01 Lunatics catalogue!!!! Thanx to all of you!
The Temple will promote their new recording on stage and on radio throughout the year. After Tea Time will be available at concerts or via this page.
