Glasgow group 'THE TEMPUS FUGITIVES' are a mixture of North American song-driven country folk-rock and danceable rhythm and blues. The lyrics are sung in various sometimes Americanised incarnations of the English language, with an occasional Gaelic phrasing or two and reflect a deep love of SCOTLAND amongst other philosophical curiosities.
A short record, consisting of the tracks:
'WAY DOWN IN RICHMOND TOWN'
'ELLA GONE-WRONG' and
'BUCKLE MY SHOE'

Hey! How's the weather over there? I just want to let you know that i'm coming to the UK in late May/early June to play bass with Kevin Montgomery and Tommy Allsup. Tommy played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens. I figured that with you being a musician that you would really be able to appreciate this show. Kevin made a little video at my studio last week while we were recording....check it out http://myspacetv. com/index. cfm?fuseaction=vids. individual&videoid=34589518
There are a series of shows in England and Scotland....dates are on my myspace.
We won't be doing my material, but it is a really special show, and Tommy is a true rock'n'roll legend.
Anyway, take care and hope to see you there.

We play a few shows in Scotland, but we don't have a Glasgow show. We do play very near there though at a place called Irvine on Friday, June 6th. I hope you can make it?

Good to hear from you. Our piper will be out your way this year for the solo world championship competition. Keep kicking the illness' ass! I just finished a battle with two flus in a row myself.
How is it going, my good sir? It's been quite some time since we've talked. I hope the world is treating you well. I've actually relocated my American self up to Canada, and I'm now part of the Celtic band The Tartan Terrors (they are on my top friends). It's a great bagpipe and drum band that includes me on guitar and mandolin as well as singing lead vocals. I just joined them for the start of this year's tour, and will be recording their new CD soon. With the bagpipe included and playing traditional Scottish and Irish tunes, I couldn't help but think of you, and wanted to drop you the news of joining this great group. I'm in Burlington, Ontario in Canada. The Scottish immigration here is nuts. I've heard more Glasgow dialects in the pubs here than I have heard Canadian ones! I hope life is is going great for you.
