Before forming The Tender Morsels, primary songwriter and guitarist, Craig Brumbley had played in a string of Sonoma County based bands that he led with childhood friends Tom Sharp, Tom Ferguson and brother Matt Brumbley. Being a self-taught musician, Craig realized at an early age that he possessed a natural ability for writing songs, and soon established The Shrubs ('86-'91). Influenced by such classic acts as Paul Weller and The Jam, The Beatles, Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys, and Tom Petty, Craig grew to be the prolific songwriter that he remains today. While gaining experience playing guitar and singing live, The Shrubs soon matured into Headfiction ('91-'94). It was then in 1991, that lead vocalist Margo Beren joined Headfiction and brought her signature sound to the aspiring North Bay band. In 1994, Headfiction broke up upon Margo relocating to Florida and reinvented itself once again without her as Seven 27 ('94-'00).
Meanwhile, also in Sonoma County, vocalist Margo Beren, bassist Elaine Bulloch, and drummer Ryan Comiskey had met while attending college and had played together in Jazz Emphasis ('90-'94) a vocal jazz ensemble that featured Margo's lead vocals and Elaine's vocal arrangements and original material. Margo's influences come from many musical directions, including Prince, U2, The Beatles, The Black Crowes and this amalgamation of styles result in the incredible vocal centerpiece that is featured by the music of The Tender Morsels today.
Both Ryan and Elaine were products of Sonoma State University's esteemed jazz program, studying under Mel Gravesand George Marsh. Previously, Elaine had studied electric bass with renowned studio bassists, Carol Kaye and Chuck Raineyand her influences range from Sade, to Joni Mitchell to Bjork. As a youth, Ryan frequented Stanford Jazz workshops and later on became an instrumental member in both punk and progressive rock in groups such as Endorphins, Borealis and Mélange. Ryan remains influenced by his drum heroes including progressive rock drummer Neil Peart of Rush, and legendary rock icon, Alex Van Halen.
Upon returning to the bay area in 1996, Margo and Elaine rekindled their musical relationships established with Craig and Ryan to form Who's Anthony. It was with this latest iteration of players that established the longest period of their musical evolution, and later re-branding the project as The Tender Morsels in 2003.

Hey folks, this is your ole music buddy; posting from Derek’s MySpace account. I just wanted to say thank you for letting me use your “Season I Adore” song again this year for my Christmas light show... http://magiclightshow. com/bb . As you know, it will also be a featured song on the Austin Texas shopping mall this year. On a side note, I find it to be of great interest that this song is rated higher than song traditional Christmas songs by visitors to our light show. In my opinion, that song should be a classic. See the voting results here… http://magiclightshow. com/bb/index. php?topic=10. 0 Have a safe holiday season and I hope you can get by to see me again this year… RGH – Pink Floyd
