About me: I am known only as The Doctor. I am a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, who travels through space and time in the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). The TARDIS originally had the ability to disguise itself according to its environment, but became "stuck" in the form of a police box after landing in London in 1963 and has remained in that shape ever since due to a malfunctioning chameleon circuit.
I am disappointed I didn't turn out ginger for my latest regeneration, I've never been ginger. We Time Lords have the ability to regenerate after suffering mortal injury, illness, or old age. The process repairs and rejuvenates all damage, but as a side-effect it changes our physical appearance and personality semi-randomly. My last regeneration was due to cellular damage caused by absorbing the energies of the time vortex. Anyway I recently parted with my companion Rose Tyler, a human girl of 19 years old from the 21st century who now lives in a parallel universe with her parents and Mickey. I now am traveling with Martha Jones, but shes not replacing Rose got that! I've had many companions who are special in their own ways, I've never seen my companions as replacements for those I traveled with before them.
