When I left Mt. Gilead
Ohio, years ago, I didn't give much thought to those small town
friends from my youth. I was too busy with my life, my family, my
career and then I heard THE NEWS ... one of my close friends (from
years ago) had died. A year later another and about two years after
that still another. Although many years had past, these weren't "old
men" they were in their prime and suddenly gone.
I began
writing "Again"
shortly after the first friend died .... it took me almost 10 years
to complete it. The song itself recalls some of the times we all
shared back in those days and the lesson I learned.
