THE THANG is a high energy PARTY show! The Brooklyn-based band has been slaying crowds for the past two years at venues throughout the northeast with its special brand of rock, pop, funk and hip-hop. Audiences won't be able to resist rump-shakin', singing along, and participating in the communal experience that makes The Thang a unique performance event. The Thang guarantees that you'll leave any show with hooks in your head and new dance moves in your repertoire. Some of the venues where The Thang has performed include the Knitting Factory main stage and Crash Mansion in New York City, Nectar's and Red Square in Burlington, VT, the Water Street Music Hall in Rochester, NY, the Saranac Brewery in Utica, NY, the Sterling Stage Folk Festival in Sterling, NY, as well as Vassar College and SUNY Purchase. The Thang's debut album "Let's Do This" was released in July of 2008 and they released their brand new album "Bonafide" to a packed house at New York's Crash Mansion in February of 2010.
