This, he said, is the greatest commandment. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind" (Matt. 22:37 NRSV).

The festival of "All Saints" is also known as "All Hallows Day" ("hallows" meaning "saints,"), It's a feast celebrated November 1 in honor of all the saints. Halloween is the day preceding it, and is so named because it's "The Eve of All Hallows." Often times we get excited about collecting candy and going to parties, but neglect the day after.
