Wandering through winters past, lovers lost, quixotic dreams, and inevitable change, The Thoughts capture a sound that is visceral and haunting.
The Thoughts came about in 2007. Ian Williams and Jon Horwath, who have played together for a long, long time, joined with Seattle violinist Katie Mosehauer (The Monday Mornings, Lucy Bland, Carrie Biell) to play songs that are pretty, violent, evocative, and unexpected.

"The Thoughts' unusual violin/guitar/drums lineup does them well on Consider the Bear and bears strong resemblance to Andrew Bird, especially with the tender lyrics and warbly vocals. The Thoughts could also be compared to a pared-down, less lush Iron & Wine, or Sea Wolf." Alex Massey, WLUR FM

Hey Thoughts, thanks so much for coming to the High Dive last night, it's always fun to see you guys. Wish we could've spent a little time together after the set, but hopefully we'll put together another bill before too long. See ya soon. John
