Formerly known as 'Sizewise,' Justin Shapiro (the group's founder/guitar/vocal) decided to turn a new leaf, and thus change the name of the project. Now, with Kevin Ennis (of Oblique and the
The Milkhouse Recording Studio
) playing lead guitar, and John Paul and Mike Medina
(of The Black Tie Affair
) on bass and drums respectively, The Threads have a truely talented set of musicians. Shapiro's songwriting reflects heavily on life, death, and relationships with subtle undertones of political and philosophical discussion. The lyrics lean toward a melancholy set of subject matters backed by an suitably passionate voice. However, the wide range of poppy to full out rocking selections could fool some to think otherwise. Their first record is expected to be released in coming months, so stay tuned!

What an interesting development. i remember when you came up with the name sizewise. We we in the van on the way to NOW! and you were laying in the back seat. I intentionally stopped short and you fell on the floor. We were by the Wendy's where we were once accosted by some thugs who thought we were laughing at them, when in fact, we were laughing at Dave Thomas. We ran like pussies to the car.
SAY IF YOU WANT TO CALL ME BABY JUST GO AHEAD NOW AND IF YOU WANT TO TELL ME MAAAAYBE JUST GO AHEAD NOW AND IF YOU'D LIKE TO BUY ME FLOWERS JUST GO AHEAD NOW AND IF YOU'D LIKE TO TALK FOR HOURS JUST GO AHEAD NOW.
