    We formed in late 1999 while jamming with friends in Hyannis. Emma on bass, Julia and Sue on guitars. First, Rick was our drummer. Then, Sam. Then, Julia decided to take drum lessons and became our drummer...it just made us so sad when those guys quit! So we went from 4 to 3 members and it's been bundles of fun. All three of us write songs and sing...at last count 63 originals and they keep coming. We have songs about the obvious girl-band crap like boys we love or hate and bad days and stuff, but we also write about kicking each other out of the band and jellyfish and Nancy Drew. We have some interesting covers like Star Warz Gangsta Rap and James Kochalka's Monkey vs. Robot, Cape Cod Girls (the old sea shanty) and Let's Go Swimming by Jay Cournoyer. We've put out 2 cds: So Young, So Bad (2002), and Pick Me! (2004). Pick me is available on CDbaby.com for a measly 10 bucks, or you could pick it up at Borders - probably in the chop bin. We are also included with other local bands in the tribute CD's Cape Cod Covers Volume 1, Elvis, and also Volume 2, the Beatles. This winter, we're taking some time off to do important stuff and write songs and learn to play better and record. We'll be back in a few months for your entertainment needs. We are looking forward to the spring release of Cape Cod Covers, Vol. 2...a Beatles tribute album featuring great local bands including Carly Simon! Vol. 1 was Elvis and a huge success and all proceeds go to Angel Flight. Thanks to Eric Bostrom of Feldspar for recording the first Ticks covers ever...it makes us feel so warm and fuzzy and boy, he's got talent.
