The Tigerbeat was formed on a dreamy San Francisco Rooftop, by three songsters, Sophia Doolittle Campbell(Torn Memory, L.s.d and the search for God), Leslie Satterfield (Boyskout)and Fionnuala O' Ciosoig(Slainte Viva, Film School, Mellow Drunk). Soon joined by Kerry Madison (drums) and Angela Goodman(keyboards), they played their first show at Hotel Utah. Tigerbeat enjoyed playing shows at the The Makeout Room, Cafe Du Nord, The Wear Pad, Brunos, The Red Devils Lounge, The Parkside , The Elbow Room among others. Leslie subsequently splintered off to form Boyskout and Jodi Durst(Seventeen Evergreen) stepped in to groove on the base, Miyako Ueki (Peloton)keyboards, Ari Shaeffer on drums. This tempestuous trio (Sophia, Fionnuala, Jodie) were finally whipped into shape by Fionnuala's brother, Colm O Ciosoig(Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions /My Bloody Valentine)/ Ragi Dindial(Wayferrars, Beak, Kelly Stolz, the Knittles, Fantasy) on drums and Jared Matt Greenberg(Charles Atlas, Sutro etc) keyboards.....
Currently finishing up recordings at Scotland St Studios, the band have been exploring their psychedelic wavelengths for future recordings..
