The TiMaria are formed by André Moinho (Guitar, Vocals & Programing), Luis Jerónimo (Bass & Vocals)
and Nuno Rancho (Vocals), three guys living in small villages around the city of Leiria. André and Nuno had played together in another band called Wheelchair from 2002 to 2004. The opportunity to play together again came about when a friend was putting together a gig with three bands but had just two. When he was creating the poster for the gig he made up a name, TiMaria, and included this fictious band as the third act of the night. (Un)fortunately, he didn..t erase the name before the posters went to press and he ended up with a stock of paper to throw away. Yet, he talked with André and Nuno and asked them if they didn..t mind to come up with something in 15 days so that he could use the posters and save the planet. Anrdé Moinho and Nuno Rancho talked with Nuno..s younger brother, Luis, and convinced him to do bass and voices for the band that had a name but no members. TiMaria (portuguese rural way for saying "Auntie Maria") were born.

Depois de vos ver em Braga na Velha-a-Branca, fiquei com a sensação que dificilmente vos verei numa sala tão pequena e num concerto tão intimista..muito bom som.. Parabéns..e espero ouvir-vos novamente..
