Exploding onto the mod scene with a sound described as “The New Generation of British Beat Music” – The Tommies were certainly a force to be reckoned with. A fusion of crashing guitars, pounding drums and enough vocals to sink your stereo - The Tommies created your favourite songs both live and direct in your living room.
Having played with some of the UK’s finest talent – The Kooks, The Feeling, Reverend and the Makers, The Bishops, video nasties, Nic Armstrong – to name but a few!
And playing such legendary venues as the world renowned Cavern Club and Water Rats here in the UK and CBGB’s and The Paradise Club in America – The Tommies earned a reputation as an explosion of raw live energy!
Their first ep was met with raptuous response and The Tommies soon joined forces with the Who producer, andy macpherson and Nottingham legend mark gamble to produce their infectious debut - "the face of it"
