"The Tommys crank out a primal rock howl ... their stomping, snarling, gutter-rock tunes are as effective as a knee to the crotch, if far more enjoyable."
Paul Travers, Kerrang
"The Tommys ability to bolster a Nirvana/Pixies-esque grunge sound has made them so important to the future of British rock music, and being one of the best performance pieces around certainly won’t do them any harm."
Alex Thompson, Rockfeedback
"The punk spirit oozes out of The Tommys, their mind-freeing riffs and belting percussion, representing what feral rock should be all about."
David Adair, Glasswerk
"The Tommys songs are snappy and snotty, with choruses to die for."
Alexis Petridis, The Guardian
"Destined to become the UK's answer to Hole and L7, they yet again deliver another spellbinding rock show. It's not going to be long before The Tommys are one of the most talked about bands in the UK."
Alex McCann
"The Tommys single-handedly erase every grrl-punk disappointment I've watched over the last couple of years, with a fierce set of slack-jawed fast paced rock 'n' roll straight from the Runaways blueprint."
Andy James, Leeds Music Scene

"The Tommys leave us breathless and begging for more, with an exhilarating set, which does not contain a single dull moment. See them in a town near you soon."
Nicholas Paul Godkin
"The Tommys are a musical hurricane."

"The Tommys deliver timeless songs which could fit in with 70s punks, early 90's riot girl and noughties pop punk. A real revelation and a band set to raise the bar this year."
Designer Magazine
"These kids rustle up a rock 'n' roll riot, men twice their age would be proud of ... and I think of Ari Up, of Pauline Murray, of Poly Styrene, of women who stuck two fingers up at bloke rock and are now revered at least as much as Johnny and Joe in the punk retrospectives."
Cath Aubergine, Manchester Music
"Loud angry guitar chords, and vicious lyrics ... musically this is pretty much timeless stuff."
John Murphy

"This is good old-fashioned punk rock with shit loads of attitude! The Tommys were nothing short of amazing to watch, I can safely say that these young ladies can easily put most other groups to shame when it comes to playing live!"
Luke Seagrave, e-gigs
"Every time they've played The Sugarmill they've packed the place out and provoked a great crowd reaction!"
Steve Tilley, Sugarmill

"This single bristles with energy, attitude and exuberance. No wonder then that despite this not being released in the shops (it's download only im afraid) that they are getting hundreds of people turning up to every show they play. Ones to watch over the next couple of years folks."
The Beat Surrender

"The lazy comparisson is that they are a British version of The Donnas, but The Tommys are much more than that. I left the Faversham suitably impressed and entertained and wondering how long it would be before The Tommys graced another stage in Leeds. Not too long I hope!"
Scott Brown, Heathen Angel

"As The Tommys hit the stage in the smokey back room of Liverpools Guild Hall, the first thing I thought was "There is a god!" How I have longed to see a female rock band, worthy of my words! The girls don't sound like anything that has come out of Britain, and if I had to compare them it would be to bands like Green Day and Hole. If you were sucked in by the Artic Monkeys whirl wind, prepare for The Tommys tornado!"
Rose Tierney, Glasswerk

Venue Magazine, review from The Marlboro Club 01/09/07
"The Tommys are girls. And there we must leave the gender issue precisely where it belongs; as a focal point for lazy, issue-based journalism but an utter irrelevance to the punters. Because The Tommys are brilliant; an axe-wielding, drum-thumping, bass-pounding, throat-tearing quadrangle of furious "rawk". If you cut them they would bleed pure adrenaline (not that I would suggest such an action; are you, a psycho?).
The Tommys commanded the audience from the moment they rang out their first chord. From the sing-a-long highs of Freakshow to the furious Fresh Meat, the band could have easily tossed off a casual sub-par live outing, reliant instead on their back catalogue. Thankfully, the girls don't know how to under-achieve, the energy alone enough to power a thousand sinew-splattered chainsaws."
