The Tormentos was born in December 2001 to shake the foundations of the local Surf-Garage scene & ride the highest waves of the Rio de la Plata in Buenos Aires Argentina.
Fast as a long Board & sharpen as a pacific wave, these fellows redeem their soul boards through the wildest instro-surf rock ala Astronauts or Pyramids with influences such as Dick Dale & The Ventures.
With several gigs on their backs, these guys has get out a CD split with The Phantom Surfers, legends of the 3 wave of surf–instro named GO!, with 7 tracks each band printed by Scatter records/Lost tiki records both labels from Buenos Aires, Argentina and a brand new album called GRAB YOUR BOARD! labeled 5 stars by Mr. Phil Dirt. Also they appeared in 2 comps "LATINORAMA" from the Mexican Label Isotronic and "more to Enjoy Vol 2" printed by the French Label Unfair Records.
They toured Brazil in 2004 with great response by the critics and the audience and they went to Mexico in July 2005 invited by Isotronic Records and the band Lost Acapulco.
In 2006 they released a 7" With the Brasilian Band AUTORAMAS
in 2007 they backed up Mr Danni Amis "Daddy-o-Grande" from Los Straitjackets doing 2 tours in Argentina.
2008 is gonna be the release year of "DEATH DROP" their new full lenght album!!!
