Congrats on the news today. For anyone who hasn't heard the news this evening. The Tote will be re-open. thanks to anyone who has supported the venue and melbourne music by attending the slam.rally and has sent out wishes for the wrong to be righted again.

Can't wait to play the Tote now that the opportunity is now available for us all. See you there...

Hi there the tote! We never got to play at your venue but we are sad you are gone:-( I remember going there for the first time when I was 17 (with my parents, dont worry I didn't have a fake I.d. or anything) Wild turkey played and I had a ball...:-)

I feel like i've been stabbed in the fucking heart! The closure of the Tote is possibly the saddest blow to live music melbourne has ever had. It makes me want to cry. So many nights, so many good times. You've served us well Tote, and as long as we have the power to vote, we have the power to VOTE OUT the people making these ridiculous legislations. I'd expect this shit from a liberal government, but labor? You were meant to be a little less totalitarian in your policies. The Tote will be loved forever. You can try to shut down rock n roll and replace it with faceless DJ's that make hits out of the music we musicians play, but you can never kill the spirit of rock n roll. That will out live all your fucking policies you pack of cultureless, out of touch with reality desk sitting jerks. Rock and Roll will live on! And hopefully the Tote will too.
