I've just been filmed for a documentary film about a live Punk/Indie venue in my city(Royal Albert Arms since 1913, Winnipeg) and I think what about a documentary film about your venue. You've been doing it as punk/Indie and just plain full of great ALIVE music bar almost for 20 years.
But wait weren't there a past name of your Bar/Hotel? It's really blurry what the name is something with a F.? It went back to something like the early 40's?
In saying that there I've just proved that your Bar/Hotel live music venue has uncovered history alot don't know about. I lived in the damn place and I didn't know that. What about the musicians and people who go to your live shows do they know?
Who am I kidding here. I know the history of Townehouse Tavern since I'd say 1993. I've heard the story of how brutal rough was at the start but you battled on and come through to make your bar a better than good and friendly place. I think it relates to bring in music and having the spirit of creativity. But it also relates to people who own, manage, work for, play music for, and love music for at the TowneHouse Tavern. Determined to make it a decent and friendly place for all. I think it makes a great story and the best part is that it's REAL! Consider putting it out there in the future. Something to think about for Sudbury's film/video arts community. Consdier this a plant in brains for others and you.
To finish can't wait to be back in Sudbury in July! I hope to be in best of silly mannerism and spirits and put on a LOL roit. I love playing at the TH Tavern.
