i'm so relieved someone else has heard of Maple Leaves! It always gets so awkward seeing audience members blank out when we mention it :S thanks for sticking round to see us at the empress. it's such a fun place to play. was it the night that parking lot experiments played? they're so rad! would mega love to play with them again soon.
Alas, not yet. I've sent an email off to California asking after it just now -if it's not there ye I'm sure it will be soon, but I hear it can sometimes take quite a while fro these things to cross the pacific ocean.
Yoni Wolf does make some pretty incredible music. Actually, I dig most of the stuff anti.con records releases - some of my favourite albums of the decade - and probably just in general as well. I'm jealous that you got to see Why? live. I lived in the bay area (where they're based) for eleven years and Ive still never seen a show.
