Influences
UK and American Punk and oi! bands from the early eighties and today. We play what comes out each week and try not to model our sound around the cookie cutter labels that exist in music today.
some of our favorites include:
Buisness, Sham 69, Clash, Infa-riot, Partisans, Motorhead, Templars, Oxymoron, 4-skins, cocksparrer, vibrators, stiff little fingers, Generation x, Rezillos, The Blood, Major Accident, Adicts, Cron Gen, Blitz, Ramones, Dead Boys, Toy Dolls, Menace, Patriot, The Damned, 999, The Crack, Uk Subs, Splodge, Cockney rejects, Last resort, The Betrayed, The Saints, The , x-ray specs, Rezillos and many other working class legends
The Traditionals are from Pittsburgh, PA.We've been together since late Summer of 1997... In 1998 the band Recorded a demo that is unreleased (and should stay that way haha) poor recording. in 1999 we released "no choice" L.P. on independent label. Toured some east coast cities. in 2000 we played beer olympics in Atlanta and was working with GMM records for a bit. In 2001 - Played the Beer olympics and other shows with bands like Oxymoron, Patriot, UK Subs, Templars in Pittsburgh. At this point Donovan left the band and Rob Faulkner came on as lead singer. In 2002 We Played Holidays in the Sun festival in New jersey, Countless local shows. Then in 2003-we Released "Steel Town E.P. locally. Signed on Impact Records from Germany. In 2004 - Released "Dead Society" on impact Records . in 2005- We Recorded "The way it is, was and will be" on Impact records. In 2006- Toured Germany with Evil conduct, Hardskin and 4-promille to promote new L.P. AJ replaced Rick on guitar. In 2007- Matt replaced Craig on Bass. The L.P. Generation of today was released in 2008. In 2009 Rob decided to leave the band to pursue his career. Original member and former guitarist from The Sussed Dave Harris took the reigns on Lead vocals. After 13 years the Traditionals are continuing to write powerful music to appeal it's working class following and are looking forward to live shows and a new L.P.
