Influences: David Bowi, Weird Al Yankovic, Greenday, Paul Simon, Natalie MacMaster, The Acousticons, Flight of the Conchords as well as Arcee, The All Spark (and that unnamed vending machine it brought to life), Bong (as in Ba Weep Granna Weep Nini Bong, not any drug paraphernalia), Blur, Ironhide, Sam Witwicky, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and Jazz/WPIX 11 (may they both R.I.P.)
Sounds Like
David Bowie and Weird Al Yankovic gave birth to Optimus Prime.
(Green Day and Paul Simon babysite Optimus on alternate Tuesdays.)
Many millions of years ago, on the planet Cybertron, life existed. But not
life as we know it today. Intelligent robots that could think and feel,
inhabited the cities. They were called Autobots and Decepticons. But the
brutal Decepticons were driven by a single goal - total domination. They set
out to destroy the peace loving Autobots, and the war between the forces of
good and evil raged across Cybertron, devastating all in its path, draining
the planet's once rich resources of energy.
Fast forward several million years. A human being is born to Weird Al
Yankovic and David Bowie. This human being is bff with Daniel and Spike
Witwicky (and has fond memories of Sparkplug Witwicky's story-hour). This
human being, Danny Prime, decides to share the story of his transforming
friends, by writing and staging Transformers: The Musical. The show sells
out Broadway for years on end, but knowing that today's younger generation
prefers their music on the go, he releases "More Than Meets the Ear:
(Selections from Transformers The Musical)" He hopes that through these
songs, all humans can someday appreciate what The Transformers have done for
all of human-kind...
