   About The Treefrogs

THE TREEFROGS

The Treefrogs are celebrating their 10th anniversary !!! Unbelievably they've played their own brand of funky original blues/ rock throughout the south west for 10 years now, including a support spot at the Pilton Party in 2003 with damien rice and the doves.

The Frogs put something different into every performance.... That's what's exciting about them! Members have played with some big names including Mick Jagger, Joan Armatrading, Dana Gillespie, and Martin Barre.

The Frogs are not just another covers band, they play original material that grooves. A kicking rhythm section, unique blues guitar and funky keyboards combine to produce the Treefrogs sound...it's just a frog thing!

"We've always played our own stuff believing that people really do want to hear original songs. We've done it our way for the last 10 years and it's still different every time."

Energy, feel, passion, groove: that's The Treefrogs!

Hello world,

We're playing the last ever solid air at Le Bateau in Parkstone this evening (Sunday 29th); If you've ever been then you'll know it's an ideal place to listen to some chilled out tunes with a crisp beer on a warm spring evening.

Following a selection of the area's finest acoustic artists including: Elliott Paterson, Sonnet (unplugged), Matt Cameron and Pierre Le Blag (Perico/Pee Pee) Burning Sheppard (The Clams' Olly Hopper & Andy Stock), Mali Madden, Tim Berry and The Sarah Griffen Band; we'll be mixing it up with some new songs and some new toys. Acoustic guitars, upright bass, brushed drums and percussion define the vibe.

First act should start around 8:00, and the music will go till midnight; entrance is free.

Whether or not you make it down tonight, you can catch Romin and Jean-Paul playing some tracks and shooting the breeze with Tony Warren on Forest FM radio (92.3 FM) based in Verwood at 8:00PM tomorrow (Monday 30th), if you're too far away then you can listen live online here.

Take care,

Hello guys,

We're playing an acoustic show at Southampton's Platform Tavern this Tuesday.

This will be just Tim on tabla and jazzy brushed kit and Romin on guitar/samples and dumbeck.

We're playing a 40 minute set from around 9ish. It'll be different from the usual TTN stuff but the same at the same time, you know? Entrance is free and it should be pretty sweet. Be good to see you there if you can make it...

peace x

Hello friends,

Sorry we've not been in touch for a while, we've been locked away in the studio for the past couple of months finishing our EP, hence the short break from gigging.

It's been a while coming but it's out now and available through us if you'd like a copy. There's a couple of the new tunes posted on our myspace page, have a listen if you can.

Gigs to follow soon, we'll keep you posted

much love,

ps - sorry if you got this message twice - our computer went mentalspackbananas
