When we observe ourselves through the essence of someone else, we are distressed to accept what our eyes uncover. Soon we'll stop growing, and the aches in our bones will carry a bold knowledge with all past words spoken still with us. We are the animals. The sound we produce will guide this encounter, but our voices will lessen all doubts and pains.
We wrote and recorded ourselves playing instruments and singing for an album, and then named the album "The Seas Elected." We try a lot of new things with these songs. Crazy effects, pretty instrumental solos, and big basement room recordings. Dominique enjoyed using the spring reverb on his vocals. Quite possibly a bit more than was reasonable. Though, how else might things sound if not slightly irregular while underwater? Tom Herbers was kind enough to help us mix the album, as was handled in a speedy twelve hours. This album will be online April 24 and in stores May 29.
