Sounds Like
Something in a high-orbit around folk-rock-and-roll. Vaguely reminiscent of Sam Beam (Iron & Wine) in a rasslin' match with Dave Matthews and Wilco while the surviving Beatles look on with amusement.
After more than a month of deliberation following their performance at North by Northeast, the members of The Trolleys have made the decision to go our separate ways. While we all profoundly enjoyed the time we spent making music and traveling together, we realized that it was time for a change, on a personal and artistic level, as we enter into the next phase of our lives.
Arthur will continue working as a paralegal at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, and start looking towards law school; Steve will be devoting his time to studying tabla and being a Sunset Park cardshark before making a trip to India this coming winter; Pete will return to Brown in the fall and embark on new musical endeavors (including his jazz combo, The Brooklyn Project); Tim will be working at the New York City Department of Education and will continue to perform his own songs with a new group of friends and compatriots; and John will be taking on Boston, employment TBA, in the fall and taking a much needed break from the gigging life to pursue his somewhat-neglected writing and painting endeavors.
We want to send out one final thank-you to all of you who have supported us throughout the last three years, to our friends and families, to everyone who invited us to play, and to everyone who came to our shows: thank you for your enthusiasm, time, and generosity. It’s meant a lot to us over the years.
Thanks for the memories, and keep in touch!

We're having a party...hand clapping, bloomers, and bourbon. Oh, and lots of shimmying! Oh Wow Dang and Treefort Recordings have teamed up to throw a party at the end of a recording trip for Those Darlins forthcoming EP and full-length. It will be a premiere of what Those Darlins have been up to and we want to get drunk with you in celebration. We've invited Deer Tick to headline for his mix of barroom balladry and rock n'roll rock n’roll. And are so pleased to have just added Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson the eve. before their album officially hits the streets. Uh-huh.
Oh Wow Dang is the label, promotions company surrounding the launch of Those Darlins.
Jeff Curtin of Treefort productions has worked with Vampire Weekend, Juan's Basement (Pf-TV), Previously On Lost and Rahim.
It does not suck that the two parties are working together.
